Big week of shows in Indianapolis. Some recommendations:
Monday, November 11 – Johnny Marr at the Vogue: Legendary Smiths guitarist Marr and his band come to Broad Ripple. Expect a blend of solo material and some classic Smiths tracks.
Wednesday, November 13 – Sebadoh at Radio Radio: The big return of Lou Barlow and company, following the release of their latest on Indy label Joyful Noise. Great show here about 18 months back, so expect another this time.
Wednesday, November 13 – You Won’t and Spring Standards at Do317 Lounge: Ears not ready for the fury of Sebadoh? You can still head to Fountain Square and check out this double bill of up-and-comers.
Friday, November 15 – MGMT at ONC: Psych-pop-dance masters MGMT swing back through Indy in support of their latest.
Saturday, November 16 – Fitz & the Tantrums w/ Capital Cities at ONC: FatT put on one of my favorite shows of 2011, so expect another fun night. Capital Cities is an intriguing opener.
